Worldwide, multi-layered human conflict goes un-seen in regional trouble spots. These upheavals are often historically rooted in ethnic, cultural or religious differences. The Körber Foundation has gathered together people who are involved in reconciliation efforts in the troubled areas of Northern Ireland, South Africa, and Israel/Palestine. The project is based on an initiative by the Israeli psychologist Dan Bar-On who, with the "To Reflect and Remember" group, wished to pass on the experience gained from the German-Jewish dialog.
In this book, the initiators of this unusual meeting as well as its participants express their expectations, experiences, and personal consequences. The reports are encouraging, illustrating how small steps can bridge huge gaps.
