Professor Dr. Martin Roth

became general director of the Dresden State Art Collections in October 2001. He was previously a member of the scientific staff at the German Historical Museum in Berlin and has had several lectureships and visiting professorships. Since 2003 he has been an honorary professor of cultural policy and management at the Technical University of Dresden. From 1995 to 2003 he was chairman of the German Museums Association in Berlin.
