Dr. Helen Rodney

holds a doctorate in comparative literature from a French university. She is also a trained teacher, and has taught in the in the French national education system. Having held diplomatic posts at a number of Canadian missions abroad, and specialized in international academic relations, she is now Deputy Head of Culture, Public Affairs and Academic Relations at the Embassy of Canada in Berlin, Germany. She has a particular interest in integration through education, and in 2007 led a delegation of German and Austrian education journalists to explore this issue by visiting schools in western Canada.
