Welcome to the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum!
“What Role for Germany and Europe in a New World Order?”
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the Second World War, the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum aims to discuss key issues facing German and European foreign policymakers in the new world order.
In addition to German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, speakers included German Defence Minister Thomas de Maizière, the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, the Greek Foreign Minister Stavros Dimas, the Chairman of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Parliamentary Group Jürgen Trittin, the Tunisian web activist Slim Amamou and the fmr. spokeswoman of the Libyan Transitional Council Iman Bugaighis.
The forum aims to engage the broader public beyond a small circle of experts in the discussion on German and European foreign policy. All the sessions were broadcasted live on the Internet.
