Ashraf Swelam about the transformation and democratization processes in Egypt
Just over a year after the outbreak of the Arab Spring in North Africa and the Middle East, the Munich Young Leaders tried to define the most important results of the upheavals in the region. In their discussion with Ashraf Swelam, Senior Strategist and Political Advisor to H.E. Amre Moussa, a candidate in the Egyptian presidential election and former Secretary General of the Arab League, the Munich Young Leaders focused on the transformation and democratization processes in Egypt. Against the backdrop of the current incidents in Port Said the hope for a peaceful change in the region is fading.
