Political Background Discussion with Vladimir Chizhov

How can the European Union and Russia realize a strategic partnership? Vladimir Chizhov, Russia’s permanent representative to the European Communities, met with members of the German Bundestag, representatives of the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Chancellery as well as selected think tanks to discuss the relations between the Russian Federation and the European Union. The topics of the discussion ranged from energy security to Russia’s role in the European security architecure and the Kosovo question.

The Political Background Discussion with Vladimir Chizhov continues the Körber Foundation’s tradition of dialogue with Russia. This series has included the Bergedorf Round Table on (Potsdam, 2005), along with Political Breakfasts with Mikhail Margelov , Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and Konstantin Kosachev , Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
