H.R.H. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and one of the longest-serving foreign ministers of the world, addressed members of the German Bundestag Parliament as well as representatives of the Federal Chancellery, the Foreign Ministry and selected think tanks on Saudi Arabia’s role in the Middle East and the regional conflicts.
The Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia explained the position of his country on the developments in Lebanon and Iraq as well as on the conflict concerning the Iranian nuclear programme. Furthermore, he touched upon the Israeli-Palestinian process of negotiations and the planned Middle East conference in Annapolis.
This Background Talk with H.R.H. Prince Saud Al-Faisal continues the tradition of dialogue with the Gulf-region. This series, includes, for instance, the Political Breakfasts with Saeed Jalili and Hassan Rohani , the 132nd Bergedorf Round Table in Dubai and the field trip of the Körber Network Foreign Policy to Iran.
