What should be the EU’s strategy in the South Caucasus? Ambassador Peter Semneby, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, discussed recent developments in the region with representatives of the German Bundestag and the Foreign Office.
Ambassador Semneby sketched the EU’s Neighborhood Policy in the region and analyzed differences among the three countries of the South Caucasus: Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijian. The discussion also focused on the policies of the United States, Russia, Iran, and Turkey toward the region.
