Political Background Discussion with Dmitry Rogozin

H.E. Dr. Dmitry O. Rogozin, Permanent Envoy of the Russian Federation to NATO, met with members of the German Bundestag, representatives of the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Defence as well as selected think tanks to discuss the recent Caucasus crisis and its impact on the relations between the Russian Federation and NATO.

The Political Background Discussion with Dmitry Rogozin continues the Körber Foundation’s long-time tradition of dialogue with Russia. This series has included the Bergedorf Round Tables on (Odessa, 2006) and on (Potsdam, 2005), along with Political Background Discussions with Vladimir Chizhov , Russia’s permanent representative to the European Communities, with Mikhail Margelov , Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and with Konstantin Kosachev , Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

Körber Foundation regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking representatives of the Berlin foreign policy community to its Background Discussions . As at the Bergedorf Round Tables, the discussions take place shielded from the public, so as to enable a confidential, frank and constructive exchange.
