Political Background Discussion with Georg Blume

Georg Blume, China correspondent of the newspapers ZEIT and taz, discussed with members of the German Bundestag, representatives of the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Foreign Office and selected Think Tanks the core theses of his recent essay on Germany’s China policy ("China ist kein Reich des Bösen. Trotz Tibet muss Berlin auf Peking setzen"). The essay which is part of the "Standpunkte" series of the edition Körber-Stiftung has been published in May.
The chairman of the Bergedorf Round Table, former President Richard von Weizsäcker, also took part in the discussion.
On April 22, 2008 a Political Background Discussion took place, in which Christoph Bertram presented the core theses of his essay on western policy towards Iran ("Partner nicht Gegner. Für eine andere Iran-Politik"), which has been published in the "Standpunkte" series of the edition Körber-Stiftung.
