Berlin Foreign Policy Forum
25–26 November 2019
Körber-Stiftung is delighted to announce the launch of the Young Delegates Programme at this year’s Berlin Foreign Policy Forum, which will present an opportunity for students, PhD candidates and recent university graduates to participate in this high-ranking conference.
What is the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum?
Since its establishment in 2011, the Berlin Forum has become the most important annual foreign policy gathering in Berlin. The Berlin Forum convenes around 250 high-ranking national and international politicians, government representatives, experts and journalists to discuss the foreign policy challenges for Germany and Europe. In addition to the German foreign policy community, more than half of the participants come from other European countries, the Middle East, Asia and the United States. Attracting more than 60.000 live views in 2018, the Berlin Forum reaches an even broader European and international audience.
What do we offer?
Successful candidates will be granted regular participation status in all parts of the Berlin Forum’s programme, including the opening reception at the Federal Foreign Office on 25 November and the full conference day with closing dinner on 26 November. We will also offer networking opportunities with fellow Young Delegates and participants of Körber-Stiftung’s Young Leaders programmes, the Munich Young Leaders and the Körber Network Foreign Policy. Körber-Stiftung will provide a travel support of 100 EUR to all Young Delegates from outside Berlin (at least 100km).
Who can apply?
The programme is aimed at students, PhD candidates and young professionals who graduated latest two years ago, independent of their subject or citizenship. Persons with disabilities will be preferred in case of equal qualification. The Young Delegates Programme seeks to raise the number of women in the international policy community and therefore encourages qualified women to apply for the programme.
