    Munich Young Leaders met Ivanka Trump

    On Friday evening, the Munich Young Leaders got the chance to meet with Ivanka Trump, Advisor to the President of the United States of America, about the role of women empowerment in international relations and for global stability. During the discussion she talked about her "Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative".

    On February 7, the President of the USA Donald Trump had signed a memorandum to launch the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, championed by his daughter and senior assistant Ivanka Trump. The project aims to bring economic stability to 50 million women in developing countries around the world by 2025. The Initiative will use a $50 million fund allocated from USAID and will collaborate with private companies including UPS and Walmart.

    The Munich Young Leaders 2019, a group of young foreign and security policy experts from more than 20 nations, will discuss a broad range of topics with high-ranking participants of the 55th Munich Security Conference and take part in the program of the conference. They will discuss a broad range of topics with high-ranking participants of the Conference such as Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia, Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Rosemary DiCarlo, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, United Nations.
