Nurlan Nigmatulin, President of the Parliament (Majilis) of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met in Berlin with Members of the German Bundestag, representatives from government agencies and selected think tanks. He outlined the current challenges for Kazakhstan’s development. Additional to topics with a strong regional focus such as the future of Afghanistan or the tariff union of Kazakhstan with Russia and Belarus, specific questions regarding German-Kazakh cooperation were discussed.
