Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairperson of the National League for Democracy and leader of the opposition in Myanmar, met in Berlin with Members of the German Bundestag, representatives of the Federal Foreign Office and selected experts to discuss the current situation in Myanmar. She spoke about her experience during the military dictatorship in Myanmar and her years under house arrest in Rangoon. She underlined the imperative to pursue truly democratic reforms in Myanmar and the necessity to hold the current government accountable for success in this regard.
