NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, spoke with members of the German Bundestag as well as representatives of several ministries and selected think tanks about the upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw and the relations with Russia. The guest explained the current security risks for NATO such as the tensions with Russia and the Islamist threats in the Middle East. With regard to Russia, the Secretary General reiterated the need for defense and deterrence on the one hand, and dialogue with Russia on the other hand in order to prevent a military escalation between Russia and NATO.
