The Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Massoumeh Ebtekar, spoke with members of the German Bundestag as well as representatives of several ministries and selected think tanks about Iran’s domestic and foreign politics. The impact of the nuclear deal on the forthcoming presidential election and the role of Iran in the region as well as the wars in Syria and Yemen were topics of the discussion. Dr. Ebtekar repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue and international and regional cooperation for successful peace processes. Furthermore, she addressed the role of Iranian women in society and politics.
