Berlin, 5 June 2019
Mark Field, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, met members of the German Bundestag as well as representatives and experts from ministries and think tanks for a Political Breakfast at Körber Foundation. Focus of the discussion were the economic and political relations with China. Only two days before Theresa May’s resignment as Conservative leader, Field gave an outlook on the future of the Conservative Party and Brexit.
Körber Foundation regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking actors within Berlin’s foreign policy community to its Political Background Discussions. As at the Bergedorf Round Tables, the discussions take place in a confidential setting, so as to enable a frank and constructive exchange.
