Berlin, 21 February 2019
Salome Zourabichvili, the newly elected president of Georgia, met with members of the German Bundestag, representatives from different ministries and selected experts for a Political Breakfast at Körber Foundation. Zourabichvili also addressed the domestic political situation in Georgia. Moreover, the discussion focused on Georgia’s relations with neighbouring countries such as Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan and the future of the Eastern Partnership.
Körber Foundation regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking actors within Berlin’s foreign policy community to its Political Background Discussions. As at the Bergedorf Round Tables, the discussions take place in a confidential setting, so as to enable a frank and constructive exchange.
