Political Breakfast with Linas Linkevičius

Berlin, 27 August 2020

Upon invitation by Körber-Stiftung, Linas Linkevičius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, met with members of the German Bundestag, representatives from ministries and experts from leading think tanks for a Political Breakfast at Hotel Adlon. Linkevičius and the participants talked about the situation in Belarus, the role of civil society, and courses of action for the European community. The upcoming Gymnich meeting of the EU foreign ministers was also a focus of the discussion – especially with regard to the future of the Common Foreign and Security Policy. In addition, the participants spoke about the role of NATO’s tasks in the Baltic region.

Körber-Stiftung regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking actors within Berlin’s foreign policy community to its Political Background Discussions. As at the Bergedorf Round Tables, the discussions take place in a confidential setting, so as to enable a frank and constructive exchange.
