Political Breakfast with Kersti Kaljulaid

Berlin, 30 June 2020

Upon invitation by Körber-Stiftung, Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia, met with members of the German Bundestag, representatives from ministries and experts from think tanks for a Political Breakfast at Hotel Adlon. President Kaljulaid and the participants talked about the future of NATO, their expectations towards the upcoming German EU Council presidency, and the Three Seas Initiative, an infrastructure project to strengthen the economies of Central and Eastern European countries. In light of the current coronavirus crisis, the political and economic implications of the pandemic for Europe were further topics discussed.

Körber-Stiftung regularly invites a small circle of high-ranking actors within Berlin’s foreign policy community to its Political Background Discussions. As at the Bergedorf Round Tables, the discussions take place in a confidential setting, so as to enable a frank and constructive exchange.
