The German-Russian International Dialogue met in Moscow

During the seventh session of the German-Russian International Dialogue participants discussed, amongst other things, potential implications of the new coalition in Germany and the presidential elections in Russia on German-Russian relations.

As part of this dialogue, Russian and German politicians and experts come together twice a year to discuss questions of European security and EU-Russia relations in a confidential environment. The aim is to enable a stable group of participants to continually share their experiences and to develop understandings about the prospects for EU-Russia relations. Further topics discussed were likely trajectories for the US-Russian relationship, especially with regards to Syria, as well as scenarios for the European-Russian relations in 2030.
