Berlin Foreign Policy Forum 2019 (Trailer)

Since its establishment in 2011, the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum has become the most important annual foreign policy gathering in Berlin. The Berlin Forum convenes around 250 high-ranking national and international politicians, government representatives, experts and journalists to discuss the foreign policy challenges for Germany and Europe. In addition to the German foreign policy community, more than half of the participants come from other European countries, the Middle East, Asia and the United States. Attracting more than 60.000 live views in 2018, the Berlin Forum reaches an even broader European and international audience. Berlin Foreign Policy Forum 2019 “From Ambition to Action: Making Multilateralism Work” 25-26 November 2019, Berlin “Never alone!” has been a core belief of German foreign policy since World War II, expressing a strong commitment to multilateralism and a rules-based international order. As multilateral institutions are increasingly coming under attack, this year’s Berlin Forum will debate the future of multilateralism and its implications for German and European foreign policy. How can Germany strengthen multilateral structures together with its key partners? How will election results in EU member states and to the European Parliament affect European integration and the EU's international role? Can we develop international regimes to control new technologies in warfare and prevent a new global arms race?
